How Coach handles what you tell it. Last updated 19 October 2026.
What Coach keeps
Everything you tell the coach, exactly as you sent it, and what it records from that: measurements, meals, sessions, goals, facts you ask it to remember, and people you choose to track.
Photos and PDFs you attach. Photos are deleted a day after the coach has read them unless you ask to keep one; documents are kept so you can open them later.
Data from apps you connect (Withings, Google Health, Strava): only the kinds listed on the Connected apps page, synced once an hour.
Your name and email from Google sign-in, your passkeys, and your signed-in devices.
How it is used
Only to run Coach for you: to record what happened, track your goals and write your coaching. Nothing is sold, used for advertising, or used to train anyone’s models, and there is no analytics or tracking.
To read your messages and write its replies and morning review, Coach sends the relevant part of your record to Anthropic’s Claude API, which processes it to answer that request.
Who else handles it
Anthropic (the coach’s model), Vercel (hosting), Neon (the database, in the western US), and Cloudflare R2 (file storage) process your data on Coach’s behalf. Google handles sign-in. A connected app’s provider sends data you authorised it to share.
Coach’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How it is protected
Your records are only ever read as you: the database itself limits every query to your own rows. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, connected apps’ tokens are encrypted again on their own, files are private and reached only through links that expire after ten minutes, and every change is recorded in an audit log you can download.
Your choices
Download everything at any time from Settings, Your data: every record and file, as JSON and the files themselves.
Delete a person you track, with everything about them. Delete your account: everything is deleted 14 days after you ask, and you can change your mind until then. The audit log keeps only that changes happened, not what they were.
Disconnect an app at any time; what it already synced stays until you delete it.
